On June 16, Li Yi, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xi'an Municipal Committee, Secretary of the CPC Xincheng District Committee and Secretary of the Party Work Committee of Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone (XDZ), met Dr. Song Liang, an expert included in the "Recruitment Program of Global Experts". Chen Hui, Vice Chairman of XDZ, was present.

Song was included in the "Recruitment Program of Global Experts" in 2012. He is currently a guest professor at the Faculty of Electrical & Computer Engineering, University of Toronto and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
