A beloved giraffe passed away a few years ago after consuming plastic bags left by visitors at the Wuxi Zoo in Jiangsu province. Couldn’t bear to part ways with their giraffe, staff members decided to put the three-meter carcass to good use by turning it into a taxidermy to warn the public not to feed animals.
The embalmed corpse now sits atop a parade float as a part of the park’s patrolling show, with a sign that says “If you love me, don’t feed me. We have our own food”. His float is meant to remind guests that feeding the animals and leaving behind litter could kill the beloved creatures. Standing tall, the giraffe was over three meters in height, making it one of the most popular attractions at the zoo. Unfortunately, the giraffe died due after consuming plastic bags left by visitors.
