BEIJING, April 8 -- The publicity chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) asked experts and celebrities to actively engage in international exchanges and present to the world a real China "through good story-telling."
Liu Qibao, head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, on Friday attended a seminar on how to tell China stories well, saying that telling stories is the best way to communicate with the world.
Held by the Publicity Department of CPC Central Committee and the State Council Information Office, the seminar was also attended by experts and celebrities from sectors including economy, science, literature, arts and sports.
"We will confidently tell why China can benefit the world, make the world understand what contributions China has made and will make for the world," Liu said.
He urged them to actively respond to the concerns of the world, telling both the achievements and shortfalls.
