On Dec. 21, 2015, more than 2,000 rescue workers are racing against time to search for lives after Sunday’s massive landslide in Shenzhen, South China’s Guangdong Province, where 81 people are still missing. At around 6 a.m. Tuesday, the first body was recovered from the landslide site, according to Xinhua News Agency.
The cnr.cn reported that signs of survivors had been detected at several sites on Tuesday. Guided by life detectors, rescue workers are trying bring more people to the ground safely. Members of the armed forces, fire fighters, search dogs and doctors have joined the rescue effort.
After days of continuous work, rescue workers and search dogs are exhausted. Journalist from CCTV took these pictures showing them taking a short rest between shifts. These photos move a lot of people on China’s social network. Chinese netizens express their gratitude towards rescuers’ hard work.
