A quirky hybrid building from Shijiazhuang, central China’s Heibei Province, has recently gone viral on the Chinese social media. Half of the edifice resembles the Hall of Prayer in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven, while the other half is knockoff of U.S. Capitol Hill in Washington D.C.

This eye-catching architecture is actually a brand new project that belongs to the New Great Wall International Movie Studio in Shijiazhuang.
It is believed to be the only one of its kind and is expected to be used regularly in future films and TV shows. Exactly how it turns out on the screen remains to be seen.
Some web users on the social media believe the structure is designed so to save expenditure for movie-makers.
