BEIJING, Nov. 26 -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Montenegro Prime Minister Milo Dukanovic in Beijing on Thursday.
Hailing the progress of bilateral ties over the years, Li said China is ready to implement key bilateral cooperation on Montenegro's north-south expressway, and boost cooperation in railways and power stations.
He called for stronger cooperation with Montenegro in such areas as ports, trade, industrial parks, logistics, equipment manufacturing and transport infrastructure.
There is bright future for Chinese medicine in Montenegro, said the Chinese premier, adding China supports opening the first traditional Chinese medicine hospital in Montenegro as soon as possible.
The two countries will celebrate the 10th anniversary of ties next year. Li vowed joint efforts with Montenegro to facilitate stronger cooperation and friendship.
Dukanovic is in China for the fourth summit between China and 16 central and eastern European (CEE) countries, which was held in the eastern city of Suzhou from Tuesday and Wednesday.
Calling China an important economic cooperation partner of Montenegro, Dukanovic said Montenegro's north-south expressway being built by China is of very good quality and progresses well.
Montenegro supports the agreement reached in the China-CEE summit of boosting cooperation among port areas in the Baltic Sea, the Adriatic Sea and the Black Sea, he said.
Dukanovic said China is welcome to join Montenegro's industrial park and Bar harbor projects, a port in the coast of the Adriatic Sea.
He hoped the rail link between Budapest and Belgrade, a trilateral cooperation project among China, Hungary and Serbia, will extend to Montenegro.
Dukanovic also expects both countries to enhance tourism cooperation.
