Image taken on Nov. 7, 2015 shows Lora sea turtles leaving the sea to lay their eggs in nests at Ostional Beach, 295km to northwest of San Jose, capital of Costa Rica. According to Delfin Mauricio, marine biologist and Deputy Director of Tempisque Conservation Area, over 250,000 Lora sea turtles came during the weekend, one of the biggest arrivals in recent years. The National Ostional Wildlife Refuge is one of the two most important beaches in the world serving for the Lora sea turtle (Lepidochelys olivacea) nesting. In Ostional Beach occur "arrivals" (massive and simultaneous nesting of hundreds of thousands of sea turtles), which generally happen once a month and for three or five days. (Xinhua/Kent Gilbert)
