A travel agency headquartered in China announced Thursday a New Year’s package with option to board helicopter and fly over Pyongyang in North Korea.
The 6-day trip featuring a firework show on the New Year’s Eve in the center of Pyongyang’s Kim Il-sung Square is priced at €895 (US$974). If tourist is willing to pay an extra €295 (US$321), he or she will be able to fly over Pyongyang on a Russian Mi-17 helicopter.
The travel agency also announced a tour for visitors to participate in or spectate over the Pyongyang Marathon on April 10, 2016. Only 1,500 foreign participants will be allowed by the North Korean government in the Marathon.
