A man saved a couple and their little boy from a burning car, which exploded a few seconds after the rescue, CCTV reported.
Wu Chenjia, pulled up on an expressway in southeastern China’s Jiangsu province, to help another vehicle that was filled with smoke.
Wu first saved a woman and a boy in the car. When he went back to the man, the flame was five meters high. Without hesitation, he broke the window and managed to drag the man out of the burning car. Just a few seconds later, the car exploded.
The rescued couple who suffered from fractures was sent to a hospital for treatment and their little boy is safe and sound. Wu suffered minor smoke inhalation injury.
Wu Chenjia is an experienced automobile mechanic, who has some knowledge of rescuing car accident victims. He said he did not think much when he saved the family.
The man in the vehicle, Wang Wei, said in tears that Wu did an extraordinary deed to extricate his trapped family from the burning car risking his own life. He is very thankful to Wu and he will pay a visit to Wu’s home and thank him face-to-face.
