Four-year-old Du Sihan, who suffers from a severe blood disorder, begged his parents to bury him because he cannot bear the pain any longer.

Sihan was born in September 2011. However, seven months later, in April 2012, Sihan was diagnosed with the blood disorder beta thalassemia. According to a local doctor, Sihan will require regular lifelong blood transfusions and iron chelation treatment to prevent damage to his internal organs. He also explained that bone marrow transplants can prove effective treatment for some children.

As a bone marrow match has not yet been found for Sihan, he has to receive blood transfusions and iron chelation costing around 4,000 yuan a month. However, his parents only earn a little over 6,000 yuan monthly.

As Sihan grew up, his body became increasingly overloaded with iron, putting him in ever greater pain, and his hair began to fall out. Chen Zhaoqin, Sihan 's mother asked for help on the Internet. "Many examinations caused pain to my son. I cannot express how my heart is breaking. How I hope that I can bear this pain for my son," Chen wrote in her call for help.

The family learned in March 2015 that Sihan could have surgery as a bone marrow match was found through the China Marrow Donor Program. It will cost the family over 300,000 yuan to have stem cell transplant. Fortunately, the family managed to pay the surgery fee with the help of Sihan 's parents' colleagues and his relatives.

However, intestinal rejection attacked Sihan after the surgery due to a low concentration of stem cells from the donor.

For fear of that Sihan would have trouble with diarrhoea, his parents stopped him from eating anything. Therefore, Du had to keep alive with nutrient solutions.

Although Sihan 's parents have received over 90,000 yuan in donations , his family needs more money for further treatment.

However, Sihan 's parents are less worried about the great sum of money required for treatment than what their son himself said to them.

"Please bury me! I cannot bear it any longer!" Sihan asked of his mother.

"Where should I bury you? You want to play hide and seek with mom?" asked Chen.

"No. Bury me in ground," said Sihan.

According to Sihan 's father Du Dejun, his son is very considerate. When his son sees his mother crying, he always says: "I don’t cry. You shouldn’t cry either”.
