

One person was killed and one is missing after a steel plant caught on fire in Urumqi, the capital city of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on Thursday noon.
According to Urumqi Municipal Publicity Department, the fire broke out at 12:30 p.m. during a regular maintenance at Bayi Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of Shanghai-based Baosteel Group.
The fire was put out one hour later. The cause of the fire is under investigation, the Publicity Department said.
