"Mobile energy island"(LNG mobile energy station) , developed and manufactured by the GCL Power Group, was built in in Wujiang District, Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu province on Aug. 20. It uses liquefied natural gas for power generation. It became China's first LNG mobile energy station.
LNG mobile energy station uses advanced engine technology and LNG liquefied natural gas to generate electricity. Its equipment package consists of a 200KW diesel generator and a 5m3LNG integrated device. The power generation efficiency rate of the internal combustion engine group has reached 36 percent. The LNG gasification rate reached 300m3 / h. The recovery of high temperature gas can provide users with a domestic hot water temperature of 70 degrees Celsius. Compared with conventional diesel generators, the LNG mobile station will save 30 percent of electricity generation costs for each user a year, reduce annual sulfur dioxide emissions by about 17 tons, and reduce soot emissions by about 21 tons. A technician said: "Mobile energy island absorbs natural gas, releases electricity and hot water without a chimney and a deafening buzzing noise."
Currently, the operation and management of the mobile station can be controlled remotely. Power generation, water temperature, voltage, electricity load, LNG liquid, LNG flow and other operating data can be monitored through a remote terminal and mobile phone, thanks to the intelligent control and integrated system optimization techniques.
The successful commercial operation of LNG mobile energy station project, provides a quality solution to pollution and high costs problems in consumption of domestic diesel generators. In the future, the mobile energy island can provide one-stop clean energy for construction sites, campgrounds, factories and security services. It will play a great role in promoting cost-saving clean-energy sources for utilization and haze reduction. With many irreplaceable advantages, including reasonable energy efficiency, low loss, low pollution, flexible operation and a high degree of automation, the LNG mobile energy station has subverted the traditional mode of production and consumption of energy, which has marked a solid step forward for factories to clean energy, such as natural gas replacing diesel generators.
