A well-known electronic coupons supplier in China offers a chance of romance to its users and their partners -- watching outdoor movies in tents at the foot of the Great Wall.
17 pairs of love birds gathered at the foot of the Badaling Great Wall, as part of the company’s promotion ahead of traditional Chinese Valentine’s Day, also known as Qixi festival among Chinese people, which falls on Aug. 20 this year.
"I do not have shiny rings and white gowns for you right now. But you have my eternal heart," Chinese man Wang Ming proposed to his Russian girlfriend with a bunch of roses bought through a crowd funding program at the event. She was moved by Wang’s words to tears and said yes.
Wang said that it was movie that bind them together. They met with each other through a matchmaking party held in their company three years ago. Because of work, they have to keep a long distance relationship for a couple of months. During the period, they watched the same movies and talked about movies through video chatting.
