Eighty-five military members from Russia’s 154th Preobrazhensky Independent Commandant's Regiment will arrive in Beijing Tuesday morning to participate in the joint training for China's V-Day military parade on September 3, China Military online quoted Russia’s The RIA Novosti news agency on Monday.

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs was quoted as saying that 85 soldiers will stay at a military region in the Changping District of Beijing and will join the rehearsal immediately after their arrival tomorrow.

The 154th Preobrazhensky Independent Commandant's Regiment was formed in 1979. The guard of honor of this regiment has participated in the previous military parades in Moscow.

As the September 3 military parade approaches, China’s preparation for the event to mark the 70th anniversary of victory of WWII attracted foreign media attention.
