UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon presents his calligraphy work to US President Barack Obama for his 54th birthday Thursday in the Oval Office at the White House in Washington, Aug 4, 2015.
Written on the banner is a four-character Chinese idiom which means “The highest virtue is like water.”
Obama, who was handed the banner in person, pointed to the character for “water” and said he recognized it.
