BEIJING, July 27 -- A 7-magnitude earthquake hit Aleutian Islands at 12:49 on Monday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 52.4 degrees north latitude and 169.6 degrees west longitude with a depth of 10 km, according to the CENC.
