A driver was fined 200 yuan ($33.3) and deducted two points for reading and driving on a highway in the border area of Xiangtan and Changsha, two cities in China’s South Central Province of Hunan.

According to Xiaoxiang Morning Post, the driver was from the Shangdong province. He was caught Wednesday by the survenlience camera when he was reading a red-covered book when driving a truck.

Police next day checked the video and fined him 200 yuan plus two points off from his driver’s license after they tracked his driver’s record to find his phone number .

Local residents commented saying his behaviors are “learning at the cost of his life”.
