On June 1, 2015 in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Stride 2015•Zhurihe, a trans-military area command (MAC) confrontation drill of the PLA, began operations at the Zhurihe training base. In the coming four months, a mixed brigade from seven PLA MACs will conduct real confrontation drill with the PLA's first professional "Blue Army".

This year's drill features expanding troops and increasing confrontation.

It is understood that the PLA's first professional "Blue Army" was set up in 2011. In the Stride 2014•Zhurihe drills it achieved six victories and one defeat. This was the first time that the "Blue Army" had defeated the "Red Army" in training.

Officers and soldiers of the "Blue Army" wear a special camouflage uniform with a wolf head on their armband, which reflects a tactical thinking relying on overall strength, rahter than soldier operating independently, since wolves are cunning and very good at teamwork.
