New charter flights to link Chinese cities with Seoul, Bangkok

FUZHOU, May 31 -- China's Xiamen Airlines will open three round-trip charter flights to connect Chinese cities with ROK's Seoul and Thailand's Bangkok starting in June.

The Xiamen-headquartered airline said it also planned to add new flights to Japanto cater to the upsurge in overseas travels by Chinese during the coming summer holidays.

The company will operate charter flights between Quanzhou City in east China's Fujian Province and Seoul twice a week between June 13 and October 24. Sixty flights will be carried out between Seoul and Fuzhou, capital of east China's Fujian Province, between June 15 and October 22 on selected dates.

The company will also run charter flights between Quanzhou and Bangkok three times a week between July 3 and October 23.

Starting in July, the company will also launch new flights between Fuzhou and Osaka in Japan and add flights in existent routes between Fujian Province and Japan.
