Located in Fuping county of northwest China’s Shaanxi province, Dangjiagou village has more than 800 households, among which over 500 households live on making dried persimmon. Their products were not selling well in the past. In 2009, the villagers opened the first online store, which changed their lives. In 2014, the dried persimmon output of the village reached 400 tons with production value of 1.6 million yuan. 75 percent of their products are sold on internet. Their dried persimmons have been exported to South Korean, Japan and many other countries. Now, Fuping county has nearly 30 e-commerce enterprises and over 800 online-stores. (Chinanews/A Linna) |
