Keeping on the road of peaceful development, promoting new international relations based on cooperation and win-win, and fostering a community of common destiny for all mankind, as stressed by President Xi Jinping, China aims to become stronger but not seek hegemony; the strategic choice of cooperation and win-win is the path that China chooses.
China has always been a peace-loving nation that cherishes harmonious relations. Its adherence to the five principles of peaceful coexistence and anti-hegemonism has shown China's determination to stick to peaceful development.
Adherence to the five principles of peaceful coexistence and anti-hegemonism have been included in the CPC Constitution and the Constitution of China, which evidences Chinese people's common will.
After the foundation of New China, especially in the past 30 years after reform and opening-up, by making great use of the overall peaceful and stable international environment and economic globalization, China has achieved deeper reform and further opening up, cooperating and exchanging with many countries, and now it has become the world's second largest economy and the biggest trade partner for more than 130 countries.
China is devoted to building new international relations based on cooperation and win-win. Like promoting a new model of major-country relationship with the US, keeping its comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia, strengthening its partnership with the EU for peace, growth, reform and civilization, and strengthening its cooperation with developing countries… all of these are targeted at building a community of common destiny, and making international relations more democratic, legitimate, and rational.
