On May 15, the International Family Day, a journalist of Xinhua News Agency visited an international family in Nairobi, Kenya. Xu Jing, a Chinese girl from the Northeast of China, is a Chinese teacher at Confucius Institute of Nairobi University in Kenya. Her husband Henry, who stayed in China for eight years and got his master's and doctoral degrees, works at the National Bureau of Standard in Kenya. Henry said marrying Xu Jing was the proudest thing he had ever done. They got married in 2006 after Henry got his doctoral degree. In 2009, Xu Jing came to Kenya. Now they have a 5-year-old boy and a 3-year-old girl. They taught their children Chinese languages and characters. "Chinese people are my brothers. I got a lot help from Chinese people when I was in China. I even call myself 'Lao Nei' instead of 'Lao Wai'," said Henry.
