BEIJING, May 16 -- U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has arrived in Beijing for a two-day visit to China. This is the sixth trip Kerry has made to China in his term of office.
Kerry is expected to meet Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, to address a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues. The two sides will also work to prepare for the upcoming China-U.S. Strategic and Economic Dialogue in June, and President Xi Jinping' s state visit to the United States in September.
Before China, Kerry was in the southern Russian city of Sochi meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss the crisis in eastern Ukraine. Kerry is also scheduled to visit South Korea after he conclude his trip in China.
