Financial support will be from central finance.

During the demonstration period, the total funding to the provincial capitals and cities that are specially designated in the state plan is 900 million yuan. The total funding of general cities (including the districts and counties of the municipalities directly under the Central Government) is 600 million yuan. The demonstration period is three years with the funding in yearly instalments.

The launching of the city demonstration work of small and micro businesses entrepreneurship and innovation bases will benefit from the guidance of the central government funds. It will integrate policy resources and explore new mechanisms for the government to support the development of small and micro businesses. The basic principle of the demonstration work is mainly based on the local government under the guidance of the central government, to ensure a fair competitive environment.

The announcement points out that special funds to support the demonstration cities will come from central finance.
