Lu Peng, 35, had deep interest in Transformers at his childhood. After quitting the white-collar job in June 2014, he rented an old factory building in Dongli District, north China's Tianjin Municipality. Together with four partners, he started the 'machinery dream' by turning scrapped cars into Transformers.
His group has made giant models of Optimus Prime, Megatron and Devastator etc. "I used to dress suits with perfume and enjoyed the air conditioning in office, but I was not happy although it looked pretty good. Now I always get paint all over myself and exposed to the wind and sunshine, but I feel contented when I appreciate the works made by myself," says Lu.
