Tired but happy

Speaking of the difficulties of starting up a business, everyone says the same thing: it requires a lot of courage to take the first step. "We knew nothing in the beginning, we also did not know where we were heading. It all has to happen one step at a time," says Zhu Tong.

To make sure they could make authentic sticky rice, Zhu Tong and his partners went back to Wenzhou to learn from masters. They got up at 4 o'clock in the morning and practiced hard to make their food truly traditional.

Han Liang and his group tried almost all the famous Chinese baozi (marinated meat in baked bun) and cold noodles from Xi'an to Beijing to Hong Kong. They also invited their friends to taste over 500 different baozi and cold noodles to pick out the winner.

For Wang Yizhou and Huang Wenjing, the difficulties lie in the construction of their network platform and in improving it in stages. Wang Yizhou says iRent does not aim to make a lot of profit - as long as people think of iRent when they are looking for an apartment, the value of starting up this business will be justified.
