Beijing, April 17 (People's Daily Online) – "With the establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in October 2013, the Indonesia-China cooperation is today at its highest level ever", said Soegeng Rahardjo, Indonesian ambassador to China in Beijing on Monday.

Jointly organized by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and Embassy of Indonesia in Beijing, the reception in celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Indonesia was held in Beijing that day.

Lin Yi, Vice President of CPAFFC, said in her speech that China and Indonesia are friendly neighbors across the sea. The CPAFFC is willing to take the 65th anniversary of bilateral relations and the 60th anniversary of Bandung Conference as an opportunity to conduct more cooperation and make greater efforts for the people-to-people friendship cause between the two countries.

Rahardjo noted that Indonesia is willing to join with China in synergizing the Global Maritime Fulcrum concept of President Joko Widodo and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road initiative of President Xi Jinping.

He pointed out that the Embassy of Indonesia in Beijing has contributed positively in developing mechanisms for stronger interactions among the peoples of the two countries, among others.

First, by establishing the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in China, or INACHAM. Second, by announcing the establishment of the association of Chinese alumni in Indonesia, or PERHATI. And third, by launching the special cover for the 65th anniversary of Indonesia-China diplomatic relations.

"Through such efforts, we hope to spur concrete programs in realizing the targets set by our two leaders in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, and others", Rahardjo said.
