Transparency in courts and procuratorates
The Blue Paper on China's Judicial System evaluates the level of transparency in the country's judicial system.
Of all 81 courts they surveyed, intermediate courts in east China's Ningbo, the southern city of Guanghzhou and Zhejiang High Court are ranked as the top in terms of judicial transparency.
The Supreme People's Court of China stands at 39th in the ranking.
The blue paper says most courts will publish announcements on reducing penalties and releasing defendant on parole before making any legal decision.
More than half of them will publish corresponding decisions later on their official websites.
In 2014, nearly 70 percent courts broadcasted proceedings in live online streams.
