Pretoria, March 16 (People's Daily Online) — Concert for the Grand Opening of the Year of China in South Africa was held on Sunday. Hundreds of musicians of Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra traveled all the way from China to SA, performing with local artists to celebrate the event.
Chinese President Xi Jinping and South African President Jacob Zuma exchanged congratulatory messages to mark the occasion.
With the Year of China officially launched in SA, over 200 relevant activities are taking place this year, in all nine provinces and major cities in SA, covering areas of politics, economy and trade, culture, education and technology.
