Pretoria, March 11 (People's Daily Online) — "I believe my slogan 'Joining hands together we can win' will act as a guiding tool to fulfil our expectation," Boreadi Maleka spoke on behalf of the 17 winners of the Slogan Collection Competition for the Year of China in South Africa on March 10, 2015.
The Chinese Embassy in South Africa started up the solicitation last October, which had been responded by thousands of contributors within four months.
Maleka's slogan has been inspired by exchanged letters of congratulation on the Launch of the China Year in South Africa and South Africa Year in China by both President Xi Jinping and President Zuma in April 2014.
The Embassy held the Awards Ceremony on Tuesday. Ambassador Tian Xuejun presented prizes to the winners. All the winners got prizes of digital devices from the Chinese companies Hisense and Huawei.
