
MAPUTO, Feb. 20 -- At least 17 people were killed after a freight train carrying coal derailed Thursday in Mozambique's capital Maputo, a railway company confirmed Friday.
A driver from the company who declined to be named said the train was travelling from Maputo to neighbouring Zimbabwe.
The cause of the accident is still unknown.
