Veil lifted on China's experimental fast reactors (9)

China experimental fast reactor, one of the major projects under China's "National 863 Program", was completed in July 2011. With the establishment of its first nuclear reactor and accelerator, China has entered into a new era of atomic energy.

Reporters with Global Times and Global Times Online visited the China Institute of Atomic Energy (CIAE) in Fangshan District, Beijing on Feb.11, 2015. Affiliated to China National Nuclear Corporation, CIAE was founded in 1950. Since that date CIAE has overseen the development of nuclear technology in China and undertaken fundamental research on nuclear science and technology.
