Abducted girl reunites with parents after 12 years

Yanyan finally met her natural parents in the Lianhu public security sub-bureau after being abducted 12 years ago. Yanyan felt glad for reuniting with her natural parents despite knowing nothing about her roots in advance. In the future, Yanyan intends to live with her natural parents and visit her adopted parents from time to time.

The policemen of the Lianhu public security sub-bureau caught six suspects after cracking an abduction case. A suspect surnamed Wang confessed that she abducted Yanyan.

Wang told policemen that she coaxed Yanyan with soft drinks and took the child away after spotting Yanyan playing alone at a vegetable market in Beishapo village, Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi province. Later on, she took Yanyan back to her hometown and lived with her then-husband. At last, she left that man and lived with Yanyan in another village.

Yanyan worked at a barber shop when Wang was caught by the policemen. Her identity as Li Jiayang's daughter was confirmed through crossing-referencing her DNA with the DNAs of those parents reporting their children missing.

Li Jiayang reported to the local public security bureau that his child Yanyan went missing on Dec. 20, 2003. In 2011, this abduction case was put under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Security of China.
