SYDNEY, Feb.5 -- From 16th to 28th February 2015, in a unique Chinese New Year celebration, BridgeClimb is inviting Climbers to participate in a world first by singing Mandarin karaoke classics at the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

The Karaoke Climb features plasma TV screens, microphones and concert style speakers all staged on the summit of the Bridge. 10 Climbers positioned opposite 10 fellow Climbers will croon from five Chinese karaoke favourites in the ultimate Karaoke sing-off, 134 metres above the sparkling Sydney Harbour.

BridgeClimb CEO, Todd Coates, said The Karaoke Climb is designed to enhance the BridgeClimb experience for Chinese Climbers throughout the New Year festivities. It is a further demonstration of BridgeClimb’s ongoing commitment to foster partnerships in the Chinese market.

The Mandarin Climb has been introduced for two years. Todd Coates said, “We are thrilled to offer this world-first opportunity for our Chinese Climbers to welcome in the Year of the Sheep. The Karaoke Climb is a truly unique way to celebrate the most important period on the Chinese calendar. ”

The final five songs, Friends, The Moon Represents My Heart, S.H.E, Congratulation, Congratulation to you and Courage were chosen via an online competition by BridgeClimb’s Weibo page followers.

This tailored Climb showcases the Sydney Harbour Bridge during Chinese New Year festivities, and gives Climbers the opportunity to create lifelong memories atop one of Australia’s best loved icons. As a lasting memento of this unforgettable karaoke experience, Climbers will also receive a complimentary 8-second video of their performance.

The Karaoke Climb will operate daily between Monday 16 February and the Saturday 28 February 2015 inclusive. Following the standard BridgeClimb Mandarin route to the summit, the commentary on this experience will be in Mandarin and will depart each day at 10.30am, 3.30pm, and 7.00pm.
