BEIJING, Jan. 9 -- In the world of technology, one of the biggest triumphs of the year 2014 seems to be iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. While the year 2014 has come to an end, there is plenty more exciting technology on the horizon for 2015.

Apple Watch

As for what’s in store for tech in 2015, perhaps the biggest mystery of all is the Apple Watch. Indeed, Apple has been teasing us with its first wearable watch since it was unveiled in September 2014.

The Apple Watch is a gorgeous little metal square with rounded edges, and it’s available in two screen sizes about 4.5 and 5 cm. Within each size, there are three models: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport, and the Apple Watch Edition. The company hasn’t announced a firm launch date for the device other than “early 2015”, and it is expected to begin at a price point of 349 U.S. dollars.

Self-Driving Cars

Google’s self-driving cars are expected to hit the road in California, U.S. in 2015. However, it still takes time for this adorable and cartoon-like car to hit the mass market.

According to the team in a Google Plus post, the first real build of the prototype was unwrapped during Christmas, and the team will continue to oversee the vehicle and use temporary manual controls as needed in tests for a while longer.

Oculus Rift

Oculus virtual reality headset is one virtual reality technology, and it could be used to help people better learn, communicate and experience entertainment in the future.

“We just really wanted to make it an interactive experience , on top of being immersive, and give people the opportunity to make choices as if they were actually traveling, ” David Giovondo, creative director said. Facebook acquired Oculus for 2 billion U.S. Dollars in March and it is being tested for further integration. However, Oculus is currently only available to developers for purchase and is not yet on the mass market.
