
The Historical Museum of Shaanxi Province is located in the provincial capital Xi'an. It is one of the most modern museums in China. In the museum more than 370,000 cultural relics from different eras of the past one million years are exhibited.
The exhibits include not only objects from 1840, but also ancient objects. Especially valuable are the bronze objects from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties, the gold and silver articles from the Han and the Tang Dynasty and the wall paintings from the Tang Dynasty.
