WARSAW, Jan. 7 -- Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski sent a message of condolence to the president of France, Francois Hollande, condemning the Wednesday attack on the editorial offices of Charlie Hebdo weekly newspaper in Paris.
Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz also expressed solidarity with the families of the victims.
President Komorowski sent a telegram to Hollande expressing condolence and solidarity with French people on behalf of the Polish nation.
According to Polish Press Agency, Komorowski "strongly condemned this barbaric act of violence aimed at the fundamental values of the free world."
Kopacz also condemned the attack, underlining that it was directed at the most basic European values: democracy and the freedom of speech.
Twelve people were killed during the attack on the satirical French paper. Hollande said it was undoubtedly a terrorist attack and an act of "extreme barbarity."
