13-year-old Emilie Olsen, who was born in China and adopted later by an American couple put a gun to her head and shot herself Thursday.

Her funeral was held in the local church in Houston on Dec. 19, 2014.

Emilie Olsen was bullied with a range of verbal insults, cyber abuse and physical attacks. Her parents believed bullies sometimes focused on her race.

The parents are considering taking legal action against the school. Police and school officials are still investigating the girl's death.
