There is a thriving boutique shop in a college in Henan province. The owner is an amputee young man – Wu Jianping.

Wu was born in an ordinary peasant family. When he was a little boy, he accidentally touched high voltage wires and lost his arms. He did not let the setback throw him. He persisted in learning knowledge and doing things by himself. In 2011, he was recruited by Zhengzhou Institute of Light Industry with 93 points higher than the admission line.

He began to do business on his own two years ago. Now he operates a boutique shop and two online shops selling garment and accessories for girls. "Being armless is not an excuse for bleak life. I would pay far more efforts than ordinary people and live a better life on my own," Wu said.
