SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 12 -- Three students have been sent to a hospital as result of a shooting incident Friday at the Rosemary Anderson High School in Portland, in the U.S. state of Oregon.

Media reports from the U.S. pacific northwest state said the shooting took place at about 12:15 local time, and the three wounded, two males and one female, were students of the school.

Local authorities said one or more suspects fled the scene, presumably outside the alternative school serving about 190 at- risk students. The teenage victims rushed into the school and sought help.

A manhunt is going on for the shooter.
