LONDON, Nov. 19 -- The 6th Europe China Image Film Festival was kicked off Tuesday night in London, bringing more than 30 Chinese films for British audience.
As an important bridge linking Chinese films to overseas film industry, and one of the most influential overseas Chinese film festivals, several events will be held during the week-long film festival alongside the screening of Chinese films.
"Many British filmmakers are taking significant roles in scriptwriting, producing, directing, visual effects and post-productions," Jia Zhendan, chairman of the festival, told the opening ceremony in Logan Hall.
"Therefore, the Chinese new-generation filmmakers should cooperate with British film industry, and learn from their experience, also work together in order to build up a new pattern of world's film," he noted.
The opening film, "One Day," aimed at revealing the importance of love and care during children's growth, was shown after the opening ceremony.
