Every mid-autumn season, a large quantity of mature hairy crabs will be transported to large cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and become delicacies on the dining table. Yangchenghu hairy crabs, the most famous crabs of its kind in China, gain its name from the Yangchenghu Lake where they grow in east China's Jiangsu Province.
