BEIJING, Sept. 29 -- According to the Hurun Report and its Rich List, Beijing is still the city that most rich people prefer to live in.
The report shows that Beijing attracts the most billionaires, as 180 listed entrepreneurs have made it their home, an increase of 40 from last year. Shenzhen and Shanghai retained the second and third place. Shenzhen has 110 listed entrepreneurs, 34 more than last year. By contrast, Shanghai only has 93, an increase of 22.
Guangzhou, one of China's first-tier cities, still lags behind Hangzhou. The largest increases, over 30 percent, occurred in the cities of Dongying (Shandong Province), Foshan (Guangdong Province) and Shenzhen. Foshan ranked in the Top 10 and Dongying the Top 20, with 25 and 14 listed entrepreneurs respectively. The city of Nanjing slipped out of the Top 10, with only 19 entrepreneurs listed.
