DALIAN, June 24 -- A Chinese Navy fleet returned to port on Tuesday after 56 days in distant waters.
The fleet, comprising training vessel Zhenghe and missile frigate Weifang, sailed more than 12,600 nautical miles and visited India, Myanmar, Indonesia and Vietnam.
More than 170 students from military academies were aboard the fleet. They held exchange programs with their foreign counterparts, according to a statement issued by the People's Liberation Army Navy.
The students completed a series of training programs and invited their foreign counterparts to participate, it added.
