This picture shows the locomotive of the first driverless subway train at Rail+Metro China in Shanghai on June 17, 2014. It is said that this train with three carriages can carry 1,500 passengers at most. Having no cabin for the driver, the train looks like ordinary subway trains. Without the driver or stewards, this train automatically starts, departs from the station, goes uphill or downhill, stops in accurate alignment with the stations, opens and shuts the doors of carriages.
