PHNOM PENH, June 3 -- Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng left here on Tuesday for a five- day visit to China to further bolster bilateral ties and cooperation, said a news statement from the Ministry of Interior.
The visit came at the invitation of Chinese State Councilor and Public Security Minister Guo Shengkun, the statement said.
During the visit, Sar Kheng will hold a talk with Guo Shengkun to discuss the cooperation in law implementation and to exchange experiences in combating cross-border crimes.
The two ministries signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on combating cross-border crimes in 2008.
"At the end of the meeting, the two ministers will sign on an action plan to carry out the MoU for the next five years," the statement said.
