The Yankou ancient town in Sichuan province was first built in the Song dynasty. Most of the remaining architectures in the town were built in the Ming and Qing dynasties. Located alongside the Jialing River, a branch of the Yangtze River, it enjoys convenient water transportation and was a prosperous harbor.
