First Petrol Station Set Up in Taklamakan

The first petrol refuel station was recently set up in the Taklamakan Desert in Xinjiang. Before that, vehicles must carry with them big oil-barrels while running across the second large desert of the world. Since the desert road was opened to traffic five years ago, there has never been any gas-refuel station along the road. The only way to solve the problem for conveyances to get in and out of the "Sea of Death" was to equip with them large oil-tanks.กก

As reported, the petrol station was rigged up from a mobile barrack. Installed with three oil-tanks of 50 cubic-meters it was built up with an investment of over 400 thousand yuan. With a peculiar shape it has helped add another spotlight to the desert road.
