The Twentsche Kabel Holding Co., the famous optical fiber manufacturer in the Netherlands, has recently added 10 million U.S. dollars of investment in its business in this capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. The Twentsche (Nanjing) Fiber Optics Ltd went into operation last year with an initial capital injection of 30 million U.S. dollars. The high-tech plant now has an annual capacity of one million km long optical fibers.
The demand for its products is growing as a result of China's fast telecommunications development. In response, the Dutch company has added investment for production expansion of the plant and building facilities for producing optical fiber preforms, which is expected to make it the second producer of the telecom materials in China.
The Twentsche has another two plants, one in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu and the other in Yantai City of east China's Shandong Province. Its investment in Jiangsu has topped 80 million U.S. dollars.
