China Perilous Floating Ice Threatening Yellow River Ningxia Section

Perilous floating ice has recently been seen piling up at a section of the Yellow River in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. With floating ice rising over a distance of 150 km of river course there has been brought about a catchment of as many as 430 million cubic meters of ice and water. Urgent countermeasures have been adopted by concerned government departments of the region, including building of cofferdams to prevent a further deterioration of the situation. Seen is a scene of floating ice sealing off the river below the Yellow River Bridge in Yinchuan..
